Every Thursday, we’ll be sharing a new story @rbhs_vpva and we invite you to join the conversation on ways you can support those survivors.

SAAM Day of Action

Tuesday, April 7th

Wear & share your teal! We want everyone from the RBHS community to show their support by wearing teal or highlighting their favorite teal items and sharing their photos with us on the SAAM Day of Action, 4/7. Be part of the nationwide event that helps expand the attention and discourse surrounding sexual violence. Rock the color and tag us @rbhs_vpva and use our hashtags #RBHSSAAM20 #RBHSTeal20 . Want to participate without a social media account?

The Clothesline Project

April 13th-18th

The Clothesline Project is a visual display dedicated to raising awareness about the reality of violence in our RBHS community. Traditionally, it is composed of t-shirts created by survivors of violence or in honor of those who have experienced violence, reflecting messages of support, challenging myths, and advocating for the end of attitudes that enable violence to exist. This year, we’re hosting a virtual Clothesline Project, asking you to screenshot the shirt and share with us your design of support on Instagram & Twitter @rbhs_vpva or Add a post to our wall below!!

National Crime Victims' Rights Week

April 20th-24th

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) will be celebrated by the VPVA offices located on all 4 of Rutgers campuses. This year’s theme is Seek Justice | Ensure Victims’ Rights | Inspire Hope. The week-long initiative promotes victims’ rights and honors crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.

Denim Day

Wednesday, April 29th

In celebration of Denim Day, we are asking our campus community members to wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate themselves and others about all forms of sexual violence! Denim Day is a worldwide call to action to protest violence and victim-blaming attitudes. This year, we’ll ask you to share your photos of wearing denim on 4/29 or share our Denim Day efforts from @rbhs_vpva! Don’t have social accounts but still want to participate?
